March 2009, Amococo was part of the Fringe, a large art installation... It's a fairly poor description, but imagine a giant bouncy castle where you walk inside the air filled part. The light, sound and whole atmosphere of the place is entirely different to anything else I've experienced. I found great calm there. I wish I could learn to channel that some days.

Tales from Nowhere (2nd ed. I believe, but I returned it so can't check) edited by Don George.
There were a number of great stories in here, Meeting Echo and A Visit to Kanasankatan were the standouts, the latter made me flip back to the beginning of the story and read it again with context... and I found so much more in it the second time. The former was quite relatable for me as I've spent a lot of time communicating with people I'll never see again in what little common language we have with added sign language.
Quite a few of the stories got a bit dry and tried to find deep meaning in a remote nowhere of a place, but none of the stories were actually bad, and it's a book worth reading if you like travel stories.
