Busy day... and in the half hour or so I was at home between work and heading out I whipped up this gift bag... for something I got for Hayley. Used a pretty piece of fabric from my stash and just made it up on the fly. Pleased with how it came out. I'd like to try more but when I have more time I can do things like a proper lining, and experiment with drawstrings - though I like the look here. I just sewed the ribbon into the edge seam and wound it around and tied it off. Finished the ribbons with some beads to add a bit of interest. Very pleased with the result. Also quite pleased that I could just make something like this without seeking directions.

And it's a pretty japanese kokeshi-style keyring. She has it now, obviously, or I'd be all mysterious :P

At any rate, it doesn't look that much like a wagtail to me, except for the colouring.
