Wierdness level : extreme

I was sitting on the couch just before, reading some articles for an assignment, and I heard a noise... looked up and two people walked past the kitchen window... very much a "What the?" moment.

Went out the front door to catch them on their way past and they said, "Oh, you're home!"

I had no idea who they were, so I just said "ye-es..."

Anyhow, to cut it down to size, they were under the impression that the house was up for rent, having seen it in a newspaper ad somewhere... they even gave me the phone number on the ad! Now I KNOW that the house is not for rent, so I told them, and they left...

Rang Dad as I know that straightening out a real estate agent would bring joy to his day ^^. So obviously he rang, and he was sounding pretty predatory... so he rang me back and told me that they had read the ad wrong, and that it was no. 18 that was for rent, rather than us at no. 19..... *shakes head*

That was a very wierd moment when suddenly I thought someone had listed our house for rent. Wasn't entirely sure what to think...
