It's kind of amazing how fast I'm approaching the halfway mark in this year of photos - less than a fortnight away.

Today's netball match was fantastic, and a win to boot (19 to 4) - I was very pleased with my performance in both Centre and Wing Attack. My fitness has come absolutely miles since I started and I'm a much stronger player than I was too. I could not have spent so much time in running positions two or three years ago.

All day I'd had this nagging feeling I had something on. I'd checked and re-checked my phone and my notebook but couldn't find anything. Just after I got back from netball I got a phone call... I'd forgotten Liz's BBQ. Oops...

For those who do not know, Liz was one of my best friends in High School. We're not in touch all that much these days and very rarely see each other, especially as she's since moved interstate. Both of the Amandas were there too - one I met as a girl guide, the other later on. There were some great conversations, and a lot of catching up was done. I also learnt that Liz reads this blog - Hi Liz :)

Anyhow, I have a job interview tomorrow so I am going to get to bed. I really don't want to fall asleep in the interview, that's just be embarassing... I really want to do my best. I don't know whether or not I'll get the job - there are many people being interviewed - but whatever happens I want to give it everything I can.

This afternoon and this evening I did some beading - not all of it is shown here though. I'm experimenting with a couple of techniques.

The first, seen in the finished bracelet, is coming out very well and I've found two different ways of getting the same result.

The second, in the two shorter pieces, is being mildly beastly. The first two tries I ended up cutting apart with scissors, the third is the green and gold which is kind of... okay. The most recent is the black and gold which was looking like a dog's breakfast until about four rows in when all of a sudden it decided it was going to work... sadly I don't think I'll have enough of the larger beads to finish it.

I'll try to source more but I've had those beads forever and I have no idea where I got them from.
