A nifty number today. Won't see another like it for 111 days...

This was something Dad got in the Middle East (not sure which part) quite a few years ago. I've always thought that it is beautiful. I remember it being polished one day when it had become severely tarnished and watching as the pattern was revealed more and more... A great memory, that one.

I ran around the garden with a camera this evening - happened across this bug almost by accident. I'd taken a few flower photos and taken the camera inside, then got the secateurs, started pruning dead roses... and out crawled this bug. He was kind enough to stay still while I went and got my camera again.
