Bringing the last few days across from G+, text unchanged...

As my blog site is down today I'm direct-blogging here (and, by necessity, facebook...) I ate lunch at Carrotheads vegetarian cafe in Port Adelaide today. The lasagne was delicious, as are the veggies that I have had there in the past, however the coffee was abysmal. All very well priced, and very friendly service. So I'd reccommend the place and the food, but say... drink the tea instead.

Bringing the post across from G+ etc.

Another day of livejournal outage - so another day of directly posting in more than one place. It's been a good day, but all this work and I'm dreaming of my upcoming holiday... this photo was taken last time I was in Singapore. Around three weeks to go...

I cooked, I caramelised, I flambed... and there were caramelised bananas. I used lady finger bananas - presently less outrageously expensive. I haven't flambed before, and as the stove is electric, I used a match... it worked just fine!

Updating from G+, due to difficulty of converting (my blog is too big for the online tools) LJ gets one more chance. I know it's not their fault, yet still... If I do move the photo blog elsewhere I'll hang around here anhow... probably set up something to send posts here anyhow. Cos one photo blog clearly cannot be in too many places at once.


After being up last night, Livejournal is down again. Disappointing really. I would like to stay there as I've been part of the community for about seven years, but unless it improves I'm going to have to see if I can find a way to transfer all of my photo posts (preferably backdated) to another blogging site with a minimum of pain. Any suggestions?
I was inside at work for most of the day - a pity as it was a stunning springy day (despite being the middle of winter). I managed to get a better daffodil photo though it's still far from brilliant, I think that morning would be the best time, maybe if I get a chance I can do that... The dog walker in the background looked at me a little funny - I had to go under low hanging manchurian pear branches across a garden bed to get this...

If you are familiar with Othello you should have no trouble recognising Othello and Iago here. I saw a great performance tonight (opening night) ... http://www.independenttheatre.org.au/nextproduction.htm it's on for the next week or so. If you have a bit of understanding of the basics beforehand it will help, but it's not strictly necessary. This was one of the photos in the foyer, there were quite a few but this was the standout.

NAUGHTY Possum!

It's eaten all of the cauliflowers and parsley and has started on the cabbage and carrots. It's time to cage the veggie garden...
