This is a Vickers Vimy - if you happen to be in Adelaide, it's near where the old airport terminal was. This plane - wooden propellers and all - flew from London to Australia in 1919 with four men on board in just under thirty days. I'm glad that flight times have improved...
Having seen pictures of this - a wooden propellered biplane - in the past, I had made some assumptions about it. Notably about its size. Well, it's about two storeys high... I had expected a little biplane, more like the size of the tiger moths which are probably what I've seen most of in the past. I was rather impressed.
