A book review and a photo post in one. Hoo boy. (My reviews generally go to Google+, just... slightly less directly this time). Also a brief review, much as I enjoyed this, short of analysing it I don't find myself with a lot to say.

Blacksad is an excellent read, this comic is in a hardboiled noir/anthro style which is pulled off brilliantly. Some heavy stuff and conflicting ideaologies dealt with. The characters feel very gritty and realistic - they're not without their flaws and secrets and their interactons are quite complex and well done.

Probably a good place to introduce mystery lovers to comics - providing they're not TOO easily offended... "mature content" and all.

Definitely worth the wait to get it.
